Pre-Puppy Consultation

If you are thinking of getting a puppy or you have already chosen one and would like to talk about what to expect, then this would be the option for you. The one hour consultation will take place at your home and we will discuss what to do when you bring your puppy home, equipment you may need, positioning of the puppy’s bed, toilet training options and any other questions you may have.

This Consultation is designed for puppies that have not yet completed their vaccinations. This one hour consultation will help you to get off on the right foot with your new companion. It will cover the do’s and don’ts of toilet training, play, leaving your puppy alone and setting the ground rules. A lot of people do not start any real training until they start Puppy classes at around 12 weeks of age, however training should really begin from the moment you bring your puppy into your home, laying down the foundations for a happy life together.

Having a particular issue with your dog? Such as pulling on the lead or recall problems, or just basic obedience then this is probably the option for you. Each lesson lasts about an hour and this is usually working on a particular issue, however you may choose this option if you would prefer to train your dog at home or in a more natural environment, or if you are unable to attend classes. One to One Tuition is completely tailored to your needs.*  **

If you encounter problems on your walks either on or off lead, or possibly both, maybe you usually walk with a friend or group of people but when your dogs are together they misbehave or do not come back when called, this would be ideal for you. The trainer will come on your usual walk and observe the problem and then advise and help you to correct it.*

*Please be aware that more than one session may be needed. This will be dependent on you as a handler and your dog.

**There may be additional fees if more than one dog is to be trained in one session. More time will be allocated for your session if this is the case.
